Dealing with Loneliness over Christmas

Posted: 10 Dec 2019

For many people, Christmas brings friends and family closer together. But for some people, it does the

opposite, and makes them feel isolated instead.

A lot of older people tend not to look forward to the festive period and view it as ‘just another day’.

This was found by Age UK’s recent study. However, it is not only the elderly community who suffer

with loneliness, as a recent study has shown it is also something that effects younger people.

It is important this Christmas, to think about others and how you can help them overcome loneliness,

even a small act of kindness could brighten their Christmas.
